How to View and Filter CCMVal Bug Reports

This page uses the following conventions: [button text], "choose from a list", "text entered by the user" to explain how to use the bug report tool. (Return to Change Log)

The bug report tool is a survey which asks users questions about the nature of the bug they have found. The responses to this survey can be viewed by clicking " View Bug Reports". First you will be asked to enter a password and then you will see a summary page containing statistics about the number of answers each bug report question received.

To view individual bug reports hit [Browse Responses >>] highlighted in orange at the top right of the screen. This will show the most recent bug report, the [<< Prev] and [Next >>] buttons allow you to navigate to different bug reports.

To see only those reports for a given model or experiment you can use the [Filter Responses] button at the top of the screen which will take you to a filter editor:

This is an example of how you can use this feature to see all bugs for experiment REF-B1

  • Filter name: "View REF-B1"
  • Choose "Filter By Responses" and an orange button will appear entitled [New Response Filter]
  • Hit [New response Filter] and you will see a blue bar entitled "Filter Description" under which you are inivited to select a question:
    "1.Show responses of people who answered question -select question-"
  • select "CCM and experiment with the error/m..."

now you will be asked to select a row and a menu:

  • and row: select "error/missing data is in:"
  • and menu: select "Experiment"

now you will be given the option of selecting a particular experiment:

  • with choice: select "REF-B1"

Hit the [Save Changes] button highlighted in orange at the top right of the screen and you will see a summary page for the REF-B1 bug reports.

To view individual bug reports for REF-B1 hit [Browse Responses >>] at the top right of the screen.

The [Edit Filter] button will allow you to apply additional filters to "View REF-B1", for instance, you may want to know which of the reports have not been fixed.

Hit [Edit filter] then select [New Response Filter]
You will be asked to chose a new question
"2. Show responses of people who answered question -select question-"

  • select "Describe the action taken to fix th..."
  • with choice: select "No"
  • choose "and" logic to combine the filters

Hit the [Save Changes] button at the top right of the screen and you will see a summary page for your new filter. To view individual bug reports hit [Browse Responses >>]

To make a completely new filter click on [Filter Responses] at the top of the screen and select [Add New Filter]
