assigning modelmods to a simulation is a bit funny

Description

when assigning modelmods to a simulation ... when you press save after filling in the details you get taken to a page which asks you if you want to save or return without editing. If you just return without editing you get back to the original page and the modelmod has been saved. Is this second page needed? If not it would be good to get rid of it.
