Gerry is developing a viewer suitable for viewing the questionnaire output in its entirety. However the use cases exists for both a simpler viewer and a faceted viewer. A simple viewer renders a single CIM entity with links to associated entities. A faceted viewer will allow the user to build up an aggregated view over CIM entities, e.g. view a model, view all activities of that model, view all simulations ... etc.

Therefore the use cases for instance viewing are broader than anticipated and thus will require both analysis and extra development effort.

It should be noted that the viewer will be web-based and linked to via a URL.

Work continues with this. Gerry has refactored to cater for the situation in which large numbers of dataobjects were causing high view rendering latencies.

Gerry has extended the viewer wihtin the CMIP5 questionnaire and will merge this work into the portal. When this is done he will proceed to extending the portal viewer so that it can be loaded with a CIM instance coming from the CIM repository.
