Expose experiment relationships for CMIP5

Reported by: charlotte Owned by: sarah
Priority: major Milestone: CONCIM v0.1
Component: WP2 - CIM etc Version:
Keywords: CMIP5 experiments UML Cc:
Requirement: http://metaforclimate.eu/Work-Package-2/Developing-the-CIM/Project-Requirements-summary.htm

Description (last modified by charlotte) (diff)

Create a UML view of the CMIP5 experiments to expose the relationships between them. Relationships include: uses initial conditions from experiment X and is the same as/very similar to experiment Y.

This will help to focus our metadata descriptions on central experiments, so that other experiments can be expressed with respect to these central experiments but with some change. So this exercise is also a musing on the change property for the CIM.

The experiments listed here can also be used to create example instances that will be used to infrom CIM development.

This UML is being developed in the activity package:  http://metaforclimate.eu/trac/browser/CIM/branches/dev0p2/activity/CMIP5experiments
