Description

Hi Gerry,

I've been looking at the NCC entries into the questionnaire and I noticed that the list of authors has some Norwegian characters - the O with the line through it and the a with the little circle on top.

Just want to check that our system can handle that.

Hi Charlotte,

in theory, yes. The questionnaire is okay with these type of characters, in that they fall under unicode encoding. I've had a little trouble in the past with some of the 'non-english' french characters, but if I remember correctly this was to do more with copying and pasting text (which introduced some funny characters). Anyway, if you actually 'export to xml' on that page you will see that the author's names get through to the cim xml fine (with the particular characters embedded).

Cheers.
